| Welcome to check the farm |
Esteban and I used to live in the big city, just like many of you. I recently moved to be close to my family who soon you will get a chance to meet. Now, we’re about 35 miles outside of Spokane, Wa. No, not Seattle. No, it doesn’t rain a lot here. And no, we are not near Washington D.C. We’re in beautiful Eastern Washington, near the Idaho border, and if you don’t know where it is, look it up on a map.
The people in this area are of sturdy stock. When they ask you how you’re doing, they really want to know. These same people even slow down in traffic when they see your blinker blinking to let you in. And to think, all these years I thought a blinker was to remind me of where I was going and what I was doing.
Why Check the Farm? Where else can you watch a fun and wacky video web logging series about farm life? Why are Esteban and Serena doing the show? Because it’s FUN!
Esteban Vallejo has been living in Spokane for about 10 years and has fallen in love with the Pacific Northwest. An architect by trade. A lover of film. A man now armed with a camera. Esteban is www.checkthefarm.com ’s host, director and editor. What doesn’t he do?
As for me, Serena Belsby, the hostess and Producer, I pack the lunches, make sure we have enough water on our shoots, and am constantly doing annoying little things to our host (e.g. bringing the wrong charger for our battery). Mind you, I don’t do these things on purpose. I am just being me.
And let’s give it up to our amazing friends: Daniela, Brian, Alice and little Stevie Rubin. They took the call, pitched in and helped to make this show happen for you.
But seriously, we really are having the time of our life, so climb aboard and join us for a fun-filled, entertaining (and yes informative) adventure.
